The disqualification slip serves as an official notification for swimmers who have been disqualified from a race due to a violation of the rules. Each slip will include the following information:
Swimmer’s Name: The name of the athlete who was disqualified.
Event: The event number and type, specifying which race the disqualification pertains to.
Lane Number: The specific lane in which the swimmer was competing.
Reason for Disqualification: A clear, concise explanation of the rules violated, such as false starts, improper strokes, or turns.
Official’s Name: The name of the official who issued the disqualification and their signature for validation.
This slip is to be provided to the coaches immediately after the disqualification decision is made to ensure clear communication of the circumstances. It serves not only as an official record but also as an opportunity for swimmers and coaches to understand the rules better and improve in future events.

Timers and writers are very important during all swim meets. The console is what controls the scoreboard, and talks to the computer to transmit times from the touchpads. Every race must be recorded, saved and sent to the computer, and then the next race starts with the same repeated process.
